Medical Camp

The First Medical Camp

The First Medical Camp organized by the Swasamman Welfare Foundation was a commendable initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged children and women of the Rajarhat community in Kolkata. The event was conducted with the collaboration of a team of five doctors and the generous support of Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care. Free medicines were distributed during the camp, addressing the healthcare needs of the participants.

In addition to the medical services, the event extended its support to education by distributing copies and stationery to the children. The program had an excellent turnout, with 150 children and 75 mothers actively participating.

Dipak Sahu, the Founder and Chairman of Swasamman Welfare Foundation, led this impactful initiative. This holistic approach—combining health and education—underscores the foundation’s dedication to community welfare.

On 21st December 2024, a Medical Camp was successfully organized at Aatpukur Sundarban for 155 underprivileged children and 100 mothers from tribal and other marginalized backgrounds. A team of six doctors has done the medical checkups. On the occasion, local police officers and Panchayat Pradhan were also present.
Based on the doctor’s prescriptions, free medicines and sanitary napkins were distributed to the beneficiaries.
The event was organized and facilitated by Swasamman Welfare Foundation in partnership with Belgharia Green Harmony Welfare Foundation. Medicine and doctor support provided by the Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre.
