Swasamman Welfare Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization registered under section 8 of Companies Act that focuses on orphan and semi-orphan community children, as well as emphases on the welfare of single mothers and widows, supports in natural calamities and plays a crucial role in addressing social and economic challenges in various communities. Swasamman typically works towards providing support in several key areas, including health care, nutrition support, education, employability, income generation programs, etc. Swasamman Welfare Foundation has started its journey on 6th October 2023 and is working in West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Jharkhand, along with North Eastern states


We prioritize the health and nutrition of orphan and semi-orphan children. Ensuring access to quality education is a primary goal. Preparing children for future employment is essential.
We offer training in various income-generating activities such as tailoring, handicrafts, small-scale agriculture etc and help single mothers and widows become financially self-sufficient by providing financial support.
We engage in advocacy work to raise awareness about the challenges faced by orphaned children, semi-orphaned children, single mothers, and widows. We lobby for policy changes and government support to address these issues effectively.
In addition to individual-focused programs, Swasamman Welfare Foundation work on broader community development initiatives to create a more supportive environment for the vulnerable groups we serve.

Swasamman Welfare Foundation, is actively addressing malnutrition and food insecurity in the underprivileged communities of Rajarhat, Kolkata, West Bengal. The initiative focuses on providing monthly nutritional support to 150 orphan, semi orphan and economically weaker children and 75 mothers.
The First Medical Camp organized by the Swasamman Welfare Foundation was a commendable initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged children and women of the Rajarhat community in Kolkata. The event was conducted with the collaboration of a team of five doctors and the generous support of Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care. Free medicines were distributed during the camp, addressing the healthcare needs of the participants.
In addition to the medical services, the event extended its support to education by distributing copies and stationery to the children. The program had an excellent turnout, with 150 children and 75 mothers actively participating.
Dipak Sahu, the Founder and Chairman of Swasamman Welfare Foundation, led this impactful initiative. This holistic approach—combining health and education—underscores the foundation’s dedication to community welfare.
On 21st December 2024, a Medical Camp was successfully organized at Aatpukur Sundarban for 155 underprivileged children and 100 mothers from tribal and other marginalized backgrounds. A team of six doctors has done the medical checkups. On the occasion, local police officers and Panchayat Pradhan were also present.
Based on the doctor’s prescriptions, free medicines and sanitary napkins were distributed to the beneficiaries.
The event was organized and facilitated by Swasamman Welfare Foundation in partnership with Belgharia Green Harmony Welfare Foundation. Medicine and doctor support provided by the Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre.
